Community Voices Project

Goldsmiths Community Association was one of 24 projects chosen out of 800 applicants to be awarded a grant from the Media Trust. The project aimed to record people's stories in the local area in digital media - film, audio and photography. We hosted sessions to enable local people to tell their stories and use recording equipment. The youth club film was shown at BAFTA's youth mentoring showcase event. Update on the allotment

The Allotment Learning Project has come to an end after two years of cultivating this corner of the community centre garden. We hope that the families will continue to maintain the allotment and enjoy the fruits (and veg) of their labour.

My parents moved into the prefabs when they were first built, and they lived there until 1992 when my mum passed away. There were not any roads etc back then, they were still being laid. The community centre was the hub of the community then, anybody and everybody used its faciliites.
