There are several educational classes held at Goldsmiths Community Centre including literacy, numeracy and family learning. Please contact CEL on 020 8314 3300 or download the Adult Learning brochure from our website.
The Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Suite is now managed by Goldsmiths Community Association and we will be attempting to open more frequently
The ICT Suite was created for people who do not have access to a computer or need help in using one and has wireless internet access.
At present we are open Monday morning from 10am to 12 for the Computing for Beginners Course, which is for anyone who is new to computers and wants to learn, it doesn’t matter how old you are, or if you’ve never used a computer or even a typewriter before. These are small classes with individual attention; first of all we teach you how to use the computer, then whatever you want to learn is up to you. From shopping to family history, from E-mail to digital cameras, from booking a holiday to finding cheap insurance, the list is endless.
UPDATE 08/02/12: Waiting list for Beginners Course is extended but the good news is we are trying to reduce this, so please contact us as soon as you can.
There’s also a Drop-in session every Monday afternoon from 1pm until 3pm for more experienced users.
Both these sessions are popular, so there is a waiting list.If you would like to join the list or want more information telephone on 020 8698 3741 or call in to the ICT Suite any Monday between 10 am and 3 pm during school term time.
